Mackenzie School of English celebrates the opening of their new school and moving into the Adult language travel Market

School owner Chris Moonie and the Mackenzie team welcomed nearly 100 visitors from various countries across Europe for launch celebrations marking the move to a stunning new location and to celebrate their transition into the adult school market in 2018.

The new school in an 18th Century former church, builds on the success and reputation of the brilliant work Mackenzie has done for 10-years in teaching junior groups and individuals successfully for many years in Edinburgh.

‘We have always been a quality-focused organisation, priding ourselves on high standards and attention to detail’

This is represented by Mackenzie’s accreditation by the British Council and membership of English UK where Chris also serves as a board trustee.

‘To be in this industry you have to be thriving. It is a forever changing, fast-paced industry. Since 2008 we have worked tirelessly for students to feel at home in Edinburgh, Scotland and encouraged to become all they can be. We wanted to facilitate not only a study holiday but also an unforgettable life experience. We are in this industry for our students’

He continued

‘We needed a change and a new challenge. As soon as we stepped inside this new building, we knew that this was the opportunity for the change we needed to drive Mackenzie forward in to the future’

The building, which is stunning, was filled with good food, music and dancing, bagpipes and guests from within the language travel industry (including group leaders and students) and many guests from local partners.

V1 Media Group is honoured to have such a wonderful school as our member, and we look forward to promoting both the juniors and adult programmes to students across the world.
