Change to data protection legislation

The law in relation to data protection in the EU is changed in May 2018. This Privacy Policy reflects your rights and describes how we collect and use personal information about you. We are committed to protecting your personal information at all times.

What is LV Media Hub?

LV Media is owned by LV Media Limited, a private limited company incorporated in (and subject to the laws of) Great Britain. Our registered address is at:
2, 15 Catherine Grove, Greenwich, London, UK SE10 8BG

In this Privacy Policy, LV Media is referred to as “LVM”, “we”, “us” or “our”.

We are the “controller” of the personal information you provide to us.

LVM exists to promote business offering services to international students seeking to travel abroad for language studies.

Part of LV Media is the online promotional network LearnEnglishIn. This network offers potential students information about locations, culture and businesses offering language studies and associated services (accommodation, insurance, examinations, finance – all related directly to international education).

LVM simply acts to bring together students interested in language travel, and the educators and service providers who can provide such a service.

LVM takes no payment (commissions or otherwise) related to services provided by featured educators. Should visitors to the site accept services, then the T&Cs provided by the educators should be referred to, and LVM bears no legal obligation for any agreement forged between you and the educators or service providers.

What personal information we collect and why?

Personal information is any information which identifies you personally, whether directly (e.g. your name) or indirectly (e.g. information about your use of our service).

We collect information from you when you register interest in a LVM member via the promotional network LearnEnglishIn by completing an enquiry form or if you subscribe to our newsletters or respond to a survey.

When registering your details by completing a form, we may collect the following from you:

Your name: This allows us to refer to you when speaking to you and to address any post we may need to send to you specifically.

Your email address: The email address you provide may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your booking, and/or to occasionally send you company news, updates, or related product or service information.

Your personal details will only be shared with educators LVM works with that you have registered a clear interest in. This interest is directly shown by completing our form under the site call to action ‘Enquire Now

We will not make your personal details available to any third party not a direct member of LVM.

As you have registered an interest in travel for the purposes of learning English (or any other language), we would contact you in future with information that only relates to language study abroad.

We will not contact you with regards to any topic or member not directly related to the International education industry and you will always have the ability to unsubscribe at any time and be offered this option via an ‘unsubscribe’ option in all future contact.

We implement a variety of measures to maintain the safety of your personal data. Your personal data will be stored by us and backed up on servers located within the European Economic Area by our third-party cloud service provider. We ensure that your data is protected by requiring the recipients of your data to enter in standard contractual clauses which have been approved by the European Commission.

How long we keep your personal information

We retain your personal information for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was provided and in accordance with our data retention policy. What this means in practice will vary between different types of information.
